Marissa Goldberg is from Waterford, CT. She is a junior at the University of Connecticut, studying Political Science and Judaic Studies. UCMUN 2008 will be her third Model United Nations conference, all with UCMUN. In 2006, she served as the Assistant Director for the High Commission on Refugees, or UNHCR. In 2007, she directed the United Nations Children's Fund, or UNICEF. She feels privileged to be serving this coming fall as the Chief of Staff for UCMUN. In addition to her involvement with UCMUN, she is also involved with ConnPirg, a volunteer public interest group with various political goals, like registering people to vote and reducing campus pollution and emissions. She is a member of the UCONN Whitewater Kayaking Club, she is actively involved in Hillel, the Center for Jewish Life at UCONN, and she also lifeguards.
